Luis is affiliated researcher at Rotterdam school of management – Erasmus University in the Netherlands. His research focuses on the disruption effects of digital technologies (e.g. IoT, M2M, Predictive Maintenance and AI) in buyer-supplier relations and contractual governance of pay-on-performance-based models. With more than 15 years of experience in turning technology into commercially viable services, he has worked at companies including Schlumberger, Aker Solutions, Parker Hannifin and GKN. Luis holds an MBA and B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, with Executive education in Operations, Technology and Value Chain Management from MIT Sloan school of management. He currently resides in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The first oral contraceptive (birth control pill), Enovid, was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as contraception.
