Michael has earned his first merits in Engineering and Senior Management in a number of OEM companies in the Air Pollution Control industry.

With joining E.ON in 2003, he served as Manager of the Process and Operational Support Division in the power generation industry. In 2010 he changed perspective towards the customer side as manager of one of the largest power plants in Germany (total capacity 2.200 MW). Main challenge was to lead transformation towards to the specific requirements of the energy transition in Germany.

Thereafter, Michael spent 2 years abroad as Managing Director of the UK based Engineering subsidiary of E.ON in Nottingham. Following the spin-off of Uniper from E.ON, Michael moved back to Germany and is currently the Managing Director/CEO for Uniper Anlagenservice GmbH, the maintenance service provider of Uniper for the energy sector.

Additionally, Michael holds a mandate in the Executive Board of VGB PowerTech e.V., the German Association of Power Plant Operators and is a lecturer at the KWS PowerTech Training Centre on APC Technologies.
