Editor's note
The spare parts function is growing into a new phase of maturity. Fundamentals like availability, lead times, and pricing still matter, but the discussion has moved beyond operational efficiency.

Leaders are now focusing on how intelligently the entire ecosystem is designed and how confidently they can shape commercial outcomes. At the 2026 Spare Parts Business Platform – Power of 50 in Frankfurt, participants challenged long-held assumptions and shared tangible examples of transformation already underway.
From forecasting to orchestration: Improved forecasting is no longer the end goal. Several speakers prompted the audience to think bigger: how aligned are planning, analytics, supply chain, and sales decisions across the organization? Progress happens in orchestration when data flows seamlessly, decisions reinforce one another, and intelligence is embedded into daily operations.
AI in action, not in theory: AI is moving from experimentation to application. Experts showed how installed-base data and condition monitoring can translate directly into proactive service recommendations and automated order generation. Solutions must evolve continuously. AI in spare parts is not a finished product, but its capability grows stronger with every iteration.
A reality check on customer experience: In a market where products can be comparable and supply chains are under pressure, experience becomes a differentiator. Leaders were encouraged to look critically at their own processes: are they easy to buy from? Are they close enough to their customers? Agility, transparency, and responsiveness define who earns loyalty and who competes on price alone.
Open and transparent peer discussions throughout the event addressed what works, what does not, and what still needs to improve. These conversations reflected a community that understands both the pressures it faces and the opportunities ahead.
A sincere thank you to our speakers, partners, and participants for contributing their perspectives, experience, and ambition to the 2026 Spare Parts Business Platform – Power of 50 in Frankfurt. The quality of dialogue once again demonstrated the strength of this network.
We look forward to our summit next year!
